5Beautiful Little Pot at a Great Price.
By Joy
I wanted a small enameled pot to use with my induction cooktop- something that would work for a cup or two of hot cocoa, a bowl of oatmeal, little things like that. This pot is a beauty! Compared to le Creuset at $120 for the size closest to this, the enamel seems just as thick and is wonderfully smooth and creamy to the touch. Even the bottom is completely enameled. The finish is not quite up to the quality of le Creuset. The lip of the pot and edge of the lid where it isn't glazed is a little rough. There was a very small, sharp bit of enamel on the lip of the pot that had not been filed off, but it came off easily with a just few swipes of my whetstone. Now it's perfect. Normally I would deduct a star for the defect in the glaze, but for this price it's such a fine little pot. It even comes with a lifetime guarantee against defects. It made lovely cocoa without scorching and held the heat very well after the cooktop was turned off. I'm so glad I got it! I will definitely look at Le Cuistat first the next time I need enameled iron cookware.

3Ok for the price I guess.

This product is made in the PRC, despite the fact that its a French Canadian Company. The instant I saw the box I knew not to expect much. It looks like it came straight from another place and time. Quality of the interior enamel shows small defects, like tiny bubbles. The overall form is rough, but serviceable. Lid fits fine. I tested the lid with a lead tester swab and it was negative, but I am still not confident about the potential for leaching if the enamel is damaged in any way. Behaves as expected being a cast iron pot. From reducing some porridge, there is a slight ring of discoloration that ordinary soap and dish brush would not remove. Wouldn't buy again, but can't say I'm disappointed, given the price. I was just hoping for a super deal.

Love the pot, it's size its spout, but not the chip on the bottom after only one use...washed by hand.
