Very surprised, but customer service excellent.

I just purchased this off Amazon. My first time using this 8 qrt model. I had a previous 4 quart exact same manttra when I was single, but gasket leakes and lower handle is cracking after at least 15 years of use. I was superimpressed with my old one, which sure was put to good use and took a beating. I plan to get replacement parts for that from manttra, but in the mean time wished to buy a brand new exact 8 quart manttra model now that I need to make more food. First time using it the lower handle cracked right off. Initially air was escaping the fuse, well that's not right. I tightened that and now no problem with that. However, I am still disappointed about the broken handle. I will contact them and ask for a replacement handle and will update this review based on customer service. Sure, things happen and maybe this one just got past quality control.Original review was 2 stars. I contacted the company and within two days I received another handle. It was an error on my part. The original 4 qrt pressure cooker was inherited thus I did not know that one should oil the gasket on initial use. It was my error that caused me to use too much force. This is indeed a 5 star product. I failed to read the enclosed instructions.
